This is just the beginning...

So, I may be new to this whole "blogging" thing. It's something different and exciting, something I've wanted to do for years and am finally getting to. Why now? Because I finally know what to blog about!

Weddings, weddings, & maybe tidbits about me here and there! ; )

Let's start with the latter, shall we? I just moved to Indiana to be with my new hubby where he works.
Hubs & I at our engagement session in Otober 2011.
It's been challenging to say the least, especially since I've lived in the same small town my whole life until 7 weeks ago! But, so is life and I'm adjusting slowly but surely.
In the past 7 weeks of being a newlywed, I've had more than enough time to reflect on my life, my goals and future. And it all came back to one thing...how much I love weddings. (Especially my own :)
Right before the reception!

But, more than being the bride or just attending them, I love all the "behind-the-scenes" work more. The planning is the best part! Since I was 13, I have subscribed to both "The Knot" and "Brides" Magazines and religiously taken notes and cut out pictures of all the beautiful and unique new trends. But not just what I liked, things I knew others would like too!

In high school, all of my friends (and my friends' friends) always said that I was "such a wedding planner!" Girls would come to me and tell me a little bit about what they loved and I would dream up a fantasy wedding for them. From the time of year to the dress to the smallest details, I would spill my creativity, actively talking with my hands to portray the elaborate visions I saw for her. I would watch as she hung on every word, with a look on her face that said, "I couldn't have said it better myself."But even with all of the support, I never saw wedding planning as a real option for me...until now.

Recently, I've watched friend after relative after aquaintance get engaged. And after the initial shock and excitement wears off, I see the same women start to freak out! Many of them have full time jobs and busy lives and planning their weddings takes up all the free time left.

Looking at a 10 page to-do list is daunting, I get it! But I'm here to help! That's why I started this blog-to help brides all over the country feel at-ease. Planning your wedding shouldn't be a stressful time, it just shouldn't. Some brides, like me, really relish the idea of all the things to check off the list and even feed off the stress, working best under pressure. (Although I was only working 20 hours a week, so that helped! HA!) But many brides just don't know where to begin or what to do when and before they know it, they are overwhelmed.

Don't let that happen to you! Follow my blog, watch my videos (to come!), and let me help you enjoy this special time! Whether you are here to read, to watch, or to hire me, I'm here to help you!

Happy Planning!
